Belvedere installation

The Belvedere on Ca' Granda is an installation that invites you to change your point of view and understand the differences in the world. “In the bustle of the days of the furniture show, this is a small island of reflection, which you can climb onto, letting yourself be led to the top, where you can lean on the handrail halfway up or sit on the ground, touching the precious wood that accompanies you from the beginning to the end like a path”. The waxed black iron structure has been created by Marzorati Ronchetti following a design that simulates the contours characteristic of architecture models for representing reliefs. The parapets for the access steps and the kiosk on the upper platform of the belvedere, where the black iron, with a thickness of just two millimetres, displays the iridescent effects that derive from working on presses, dignifying the entire installation, are also produced in the same material.
The flooring of the access bridge and of the entire walkway structure is made of heat-treated ash heartwood, produced by one of the French sawmills of Listone Giordano. Led spotlights boxed into the floor, supplied by Artemide, mark the route.
