The decision to integrate a large structure into a natural, beautiful and intact environment always demands an investigation into the profound motivations of the intervention, in this case arising from the need to increase the recognisability of a tourist destination with something new and attractive. The challenge was to make the new structure a testimony of the country’s capacity to understand the special relationship that links people and landscape. Many places in the world enable unique panoramic points, reachable thanks to infrastructures and architectures, to be experienced. For Borovoe the CIRCLE has imagined a trampoline, a symbol of courage and audacity, stretching into the void to launch the imagination into the celestial space.
