Installazione “Lo scalone”

Lo Scalone, created during the Fuorisalone 2017 for Ferragamo Parfums, with executive project by Moretti Costruzioni, is a temporary wooden structure that connects the courtyard of honour with the western loggia of Ca’ Granda, emphasising the extraordinary proportions of the cloister.
The functional concreteness and materiality of this solid staircase are juxtaposed with the historical architecture, defined by classical rules that attempted to establish the universal concepts of harmony and beauty with mathematical and geometric formulas. The staircase includes a gallery-stage that also functions as a flight of steps to sit, becoming a kind of plaza, the symbolic space of socialisation and of Italian culture and style. Lo Scalone creates a monumental and direct access to the western loggia, where the exhibition of the 10 photographs that were finalists in the “Scent of Life Talent Awards” competition was staged, promoted by Ferragamo Parfums on the occasion of the launch of the Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo fragrance.
