Uffici Triennale Design Museum

The offices of the Triennale Design Museum occupy a recovered portion of the inner courtyard behind the Impluvium of the Palazzo dell’Arte where, on the occasion of a Triennale in the 1950s, a reinforced concrete staircase was built that is still partly in existence. Today the storerooms of the bookshop are located on the ground floor of the stairwell. The technical equipment housed on the first floor has been removed to allow the grafting-on of new workspaces, which today are distributed over three levels inside a small tower, facing out through a full-height glass wall onto a narrow terrace that is also accessible from the exhibition rooms.
